Africa is one of the nations where AIDS is spreading in a fast manner. A lot of international organizations have set camps in African nations to create awareness about the use of condoms and prevention of the disease in these areas. The Daily nation news paper in Kenya has reported that around 73 million condoms are distributed free to the people in Kenya in March 2011 alone. Elimination of poverty has been the main aim for the African government for many years. The racial discrimination between the blacks and whites came to an end with the Apartheid movement in Africa. This has been the major problem facing Africa especially in South Africa. Infrastructure development and providing sanitation facilities remain a high priority for the African government. Madagascar is listed as one of the poorest nations in the world and the population here is growing rapidly with the people becoming poorer and the number of deaths due to hunger and poverty is also on the rise in these regions. Donations form the main source of money for government spending in Madagascar according to a World Bank report.

Ghana faces medical crisis with the government introducing various measures to benefit the pregnant women. The World Bank reports state that around 8 million African young women are involved in human trafficking due to poverty and every three young women is affected with AIDS compared to a young man in Africa.
